Central Souk

Central Souk

The Central Souk—also known as the Blue Souk and the Islamic Souk—is of one of Sharjah's most visited sites, if mainly by tourists today. Being situated prominently along one of Sharjah’s largest, most complex traffic junctions has helped sustain its reputation as the city’s most recognizable landmark. It was designed by British firm Michael Lyell Associates and completed in 1978. Courtesy of Prem Ratnam.
