Crescent Petroleum Headquarters
Headquarters of the oil company Crescent Petroleum were designed by Tony Irving and Gordon Jones of Design Construction Group in 1974. The project was defined by a distinctive, tripartite main floor plan, raised on pilotis and an inset ground level. Located where the Buhaira Corniche curves into King Faisal Road, the building was set inside a heavily landscaped site, whose exotic plants competed in extravagance with those across the street at Marbella Club. The building was demolished in 1996, after which the three-tower complex Crystal Plaza was built. Courtesy of Crescent Petroleum.
